My Estelle

I'm knitting my first sweater! Well, it's my first adult sweater. The first one that I really really intend to finish...
It's the Estelle by Linden Heflin and it's available on Ravelry here. The cardigan is knit in one piece from the top down. I feel like it has just the right amount of lace at the neckline and then the body is all mindless stockinette stitch. Also, the yarn (Araucania Nature Wool) was on sale for half-off so I only spent about $30 for the materials!
I know it's silly to be working on a wool sweater that I'll finish when it's hot outside but well... that's just how it worked out.

  1. I am making my first sweater as well! It's a cardigan and I have everything done but the back (and sewing it together). I'm glad you liked my crochet-covered stones. You should definitely try to make one. Let me know if you do! X Maribeth

  2. OOOH! You said the magic words! KNIT IN ONE PIECE! Plus I absolutely agree with you about just the right lace bit. My hearty thanks for the inspire!
